The Bar and Gaming Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Club's bar and gaming areas, ensuring exceptional customer service, compliance with all gaming and liquor licensing requirements, and the efficient management of staff and facilities. The role is hands-on and requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to providing members and guests with a welcoming and professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Operations

- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the bar and beverage service areas.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock control.
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and safety standards throughout all bar areas.
- Assist with the preparation and service of beverages during busy periods and Club events.
- Ensure cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation procedures are followed accurately.

Gaming Operations

- Oversee the operation of gaming machines and gaming areas.
- Ensure compliance with all gaming legislation, Club policies, and responsible gambling requirements.
- Monitor gaming machine functionality and coordinate maintenance when required.
- Assist patrons with gaming‑related enquiries in a professional and responsible manner.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting as required by regulatory authorities and Club management.

Staff Supervision

- Lead, support, and motivate bar and gaming staff
- Provide training and coaching to team members.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to Club policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and professional workplace culture.

Compliance and Safety

- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing regulations and responsible service of alcohol requirements.
- Promote responsible gambling practices and provide support information where appropriate.
- Maintain workplace health and safety standards.
- Report incidents, hazards,



and compliance issues promptly.
- Ensure security procedures are followed during operating hours and closing procedures.

Customer Service and Member Engagement

- Build positive relationships with members, guests, and visitors.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Support Club promotions, functions, tournaments, and special events.
- Contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable Club environment.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in hospitality, bar, gaming, or club operations.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound cash handling and reconciliation skills.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Current Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) or equivalent certification.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Experience working in a golf club, sporting club, or licensed venue.
- Experience with gaming machine operations and compliance
- Knowledge of hospitality point-of-sale systems and venue management software.
