We're building the next generation of better-for-you products, licensed brands and innovative food ranges that will be sold across supermarkets, convenience stores, airlines, foodservice and retailers throughout Australia.

We're looking for an experienced New Product Development Manager to help bring those ideas to life.

This is a brand-new role working directly with our COO, taking products from the first sketch on a whiteboard all the way to supermarket shelves.

Daniel's Donuts has grown from one small store into one of Australia's fastest-growing bakery manufacturers.

Today we supply our own stores, major retailers, supermarkets, convenience chains, foodservice customers and airlines across the country—and we're only just getting started.

Innovation is a huge part of what we do, and we're investing heavily in new categories including:

- High-protein and better-for-you products
- Licensed brands
- Exciting recent food categories beyond donuts

That's where you come in.

What you'll be doing

- Develop exciting new better-for-you and non-core food products
- Turn concepts into commercially viable products customers love
- Source and qualify contract manufacturers in Australia and overseas
- Manage factory trials, product testing and first production runs
- Own specifications, nutritional panels, allergens, shelf-life and regulatory compliance
- Work closely with Procurement, Operations,



Sales and Marketing to deliver successful launches
- Keep projects moving quickly while balancing quality, cost and timelines
- Help shape the future product roadmap for Daniel's

What we're looking for

- A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (you know your way around the science of great food!)
- Around 3–5 years of experience bringing delicious food products to life
- A proven track record of turning great ideas into successful products on the shelf
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and building strong production partnerships
- Solid knowledge of FSANZ standards, food labelling, and regulatory requirements—you keep us compliant while keeping things tasty
- Experience with high-protein, functional, or better-for-you products? That's a big bonus!
- Strong project management skills—you can keep multiple product launches moving without breaking a sweat
- A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. You're happiest testing, tasting, tweaking, and making things happen, not just talking about them.
