The Role We are seeking a skilled Roof Plumber to carry out roof plumbing work across the manufacture, installation, maintenance and repair of our modular buildings. Working from our Armidale facility and on project sites, you will fabricate and install metallic roofing, wall cladding, flashings, gutters, downpipes and associated rainwater-disposal systems, and ensure every installation is weatherproof, compliant and completed to Uniplan quality standards.

- Set out, fabricate and install metallic roofing and wall cladding in accordance with approved drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Fabricate and install roof flashings, cappings, valleys, box gutters, downpipes, sumps, rainheads and penetration flashings.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and schedules, and determine materials, layout and installation sequence.
- Measure roof areas, calculate materials and fixings, and cut, bend, join and fasten sheet-metal roofing and rainwater components.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair leaks, drainage failures and weatherproofing defects, including warranty and rectification work.
- Complete work to Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and WHS requirements, including inspection and quality documentation.
- Work safely at heights using fall-prevention, scaffolding and elevated work platform systems.





Qualification & experience Essential qualifications and experience

- An Australian AQF Certificate III in Roof Plumbing (or Plumbing with an appropriate roof plumbing specialisation), or an overseas qualification assessed as comparable.
- Relevant post-qualification experience in roof plumbing, preferably involving metallic roofing and wall cladding.
- Demonstrated experience fabricating and installing metal roofing, flashings, gutters and downpipes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical instructions.
- Sound knowledge of roof drainage, weatherproofing and water-ingress prevention.
- Ability to work safely at heights and perform the inherent physical requirements of the role.
- A current

General Construction Induction Card (White Card), or the ability to obtain one before commencing applicable construction work.

- A current Australian driver licence, or the ability to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.

Desirable

- Experience in modular, prefabricated or off-site building manufacturing.
- Working Safely at Heights and Elevated

Work Platform credentials.

- Forklift, dogging, rigging or other relevant high-risk work licences.
