Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland, operates two aged care facilities: Kerrisdale Gardens and Good Shepherd Lodge. We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our clinical team. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, supervising and supporting care staff, and maintaining a safe and caring environment for residents.

About the Role:

As an RN, you will play a vital role in coordinating and delivering clinical care, supporting residents’ health and well‑being, and mentoring care staff under the guidance of our facility management. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We are hiring for casual and permanent (part‑time and full‑time) positions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Supervise and support care staff in delivering high‑quality care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and clinical guidelines
- Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and changes in condition
- Maintain accurate resident records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a protected environment for residents and staff




- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

About You:

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and reliable individual committed to delivering excellent nursing care. The successful candidate will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience in residential aged care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary team environment
- Commitment to resident‑centred care and adherence to care plans
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain prior to employment
- Current Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or willingness to obtain, in line with QLD aged care requirements
