Torrens Valley Christian School is seeking an Individual Student Support Officer – Therapeutic Support. This position is a contract 18 – 22 hours per week, term-time until the end of term 4.

The Individual Student Support Officer (ISSO) provides dedicated one-to-one support to a Middle School student within a school setting. The primary focus of the role is to promote the student’s wellbeing, emotional regulation, school engagement, and social connectedness through consistent, trauma-informed, relationship-based support.

Working collaboratively with school staff, carers, and relevant support services, the ISSO provides proactive, individualised support that builds the student’s independence, resilience, and capacity to successfully participate in all aspects of school life.

The role is preventative in nature, seeking to reduce escalation, strengthen protective factors, and maximise the student’s chance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The successful applicant will be a committed Christian who is actively involved in a Christian church.
