Head of Multicultural & Essential Services

The Company is seeking a Head of Multicultural and Essential Services to join their newly merged organization. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in ensuring that a diverse portfolio of community programs, including multicultural, settlement, and essential services, continues to meet the needs of the community and delivers high-quality, culturally responsive support. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of these services, leading and mentoring high-performing teams, and building strong relationships with government, community organizations, and sector partners to foster innovation and growth. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that the services are delivered effectively, sustainably, and in compliance with funding, legislative, and quality requirements.Applicants for the Head of Multicultural and Essential Services position at the company should currently be in a similar leadership role within a like-minded organization and possess exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.



Experience in leading human service portfolios, particularly those related to multicultural, settlement, domestic violence, tenancy advocacy, or similar community services, is essential. The role requires a robust understanding of the issues affecting culturally and linguistically diverse communities, as well as proven experience in managing complex service portfolios, teams, and competing priorities. The ideal candidate will have a background in community services, social sciences, management, or a related discipline, and a demonstrated ability to influence policy and advocate for the needs of the community.
