Workfast are currently looking for boilermaker / fitter for a large waste management business commencing immediately.
This is an ongoing position with the potential go permanent after probation period.
$56.25/hr depending on tickets and experience

Fulltime hours, Monday - Friday (some saturdays included )
This role will see you carrying out maintenance and repairs across fixed and mobile plant.

What you will be doing:
Handling workshop tools and equipment, including performing diagnostic checks and calibration tests.
Basic welding
Fault finding
Identifying issues using engineering schematics and P&IDs.;
Overseeing a variety of mobile equipment used in asphalt production, including conducting repairs and addressing breakdowns.
Performing general workshop tasks like inventory management and cleaning.
Willingness to work day shifts, night shifts, and possible Saturdays
Complying with Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.
The Requirements:
Mechanical trade certification (boilermaker or fitter)
Experience in servicing and maintaining mobile and fixed machinery
Proficient in diagnostics and troubleshooting
Experience in basic welding
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Any experience in the waste management sector is a huge bonus
Experience on servicing and maintaining conveyer systems.
Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and auto-electrical systems
