Bellevue Family Farms is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join our almond orchard operations around the Griffith region.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting the Farm Manager in the successful day-to-day management of our almond orchard. You will play a key role in coordinating seasonal orchard activities, supporting irrigation management, supervising farm staff, maintaining equipment and ensuring all operations are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Farm Manager in the day-to-day management of almond orchard operations.
- Coordinate seasonal orchard activities including pruning, spraying, fertilising, mowing and harvest preparation.
- Assist with irrigation scheduling,



water management and optimisation of orchard performance.
- Supervise, support and provide direction to farm employees and contractors.
- Monitor orchard health, crop development and operational activities.
- Assist with machinery, equipment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Ensure orchard activities are completed safely, efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Maintain accurate operational records and support reporting requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across orchard operations.

About You

We are seeking a practical and motivated agricultural professional with strong operational skills and leadership capability.

You will ideally have:

- Experience working within almond, horticulture or intensive agricultural operations.
- Knowledge of orchard production systems and seasonal requirements.
- Understanding of irrigation systems, water management and crop requirements.
- Experience supervising teams and contractors.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience with modern agricultural technology and farm management systems is desirable.
