About the Prospect

An opportunity is available for an Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function within the Multi Class Sustainment (MCS) Program.

This role plays a key part in supporting ASC's commercial and program outcomes by delivering high-quality estimates, pricing submissions and estimating services that inform critical business decisions. You'll work closely with Commercial, Bid and Leadership teams while building the capability, tools and processes that support estimating excellence across the business

Responsibilities

- Leading the development and continuous improvement of estimating processes, frameworks, templates and guidelines.
- Managing the development and maintenance of the MCS Estimating Department Plan.
- Building and maintaining an estimating database using historical project data to improve the accuracy and consistency of future estimates.
- Delivering estimates and pricing in line with proposal and submission timelines.
- Providing estimating expertise and commercial advice on bids, proposals and customer submissions.
- Leading customer review responses and supporting stakeholder queries.
- Managing estimating resources,



priorities and budgets to meet business requirements.
- Building strong relationships across Commercial, Program, PMO and Leadership teams.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of estimators to build capability and reduce single points of failure.

About you

You are a strategic leader with a strong background in estimating, commercial management, project controls or project delivery. You enjoy building high-performing teams, improving processes and influencing outcomes through data-driven decision making.

To be successful, you'll bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in estimating, project controls, planning, scheduling, commercial or project management environments.
- Experience leading and developing teams, including coaching, performance management and capability development.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance business objectives with customer requirements.
- Experience working on major Defence programs or complex project environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using estimating, project controls, scheduling and business management systems within complex project environments.

- Solid knowledge of estimating methodologies, planning, scheduling, work breakdown structures and project controls principles.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
