Warehouse Assistant – High Reach Forklift Operator

Mera Chemicals is seeking an experienced and reliable Warehouse Assistant with strong High Reach Forklift experience to join our warehouse and logistics team within our chemical manufacturing facility.

This is predominantly a High Reach Forklift and warehouse operations role. Applicants must hold a current LF Forklift Licence and have demonstrated, hands-on High Reach Forklift experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, receiving, storage, picking and dispatch of raw materials, packaging and finished goods.

You will play an important role in maintaining accurate inventory, safe warehouse operations and an efficient flow of materials throughout our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

High Reach Forklift & Warehouse Operations

- Operate a High Reach Forklift confidently and safely as a core part of the role

- Load, unload, move and store pallets and materials within the warehouse

- Complete day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch

- Accurately place and retrieve stock from designated warehouse locations

- Efficiently utilise warehouse equipment and follow daily schedules to meet operational and delivery requirements

- Ensure correct handling, labelling and storage of raw materials, packaging and finished goods

- Proactively report operational issues, damaged stock or inventory discrepancies

Safety, Quality & Compliance

- Follow all WHS policies, safe work procedures and site requirements

- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment

- Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas in accordance with 5S standards

- Support quality requirements including correct labelling, batch identification and traceability

- Follow all relevant procedures associated with working within a chemical manufacturing environment

Inventory Control & Accuracy

- Ensure accurate receipting,



picking and dispatch of stock

- Complete ERP/WMS transactions accurately and in real time

- Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts

- Investigate and report inventory variances

- Maintain accurate stock locations and warehouse records

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Current LF Forklift Licence

- Demonstrated High Reach Forklift experience – MANDATORY

- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience

- Experience in receiving, picking, packing and dispatch

- Strong understanding of warehouse safety and manual handling practices

- Current Australian Driver’s Licence

- Positive communication and organisational skills

- Strong attention to detail and stock accuracy

- A reliable, safety-focused and hands-on approach to work

Please note: Applicants without High Reach Forklift experience will not be considered for this position.

Desirable

- Experience within chemical, manufacturing or food production environments

- Experience using ERP or WMS systems

- Understanding of HACCP, GMP and/or Dangerous Goods handling

Working Conditions

- Warehouse and chemical manufacturing environment

- Regular High Reach Forklift operation

- Manual handling is required

- Early starts or some flexibility in working hours may be required to meet operational needs
