The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly capable Health & Safety Construction Advisor who thrives on building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and contractors across complex construction environments.
This contract role is a site based role in Wellington, NSW.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager - Construction and Operations, this role is responsible for providing safety advice, reviewing investigations and delivering safety audit services across UWF.
You will work closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements, while driving a strong, safety-first culture across projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert advice and support to management, employees,



and contractors on operational health and safety matters across construction projectsConduct safety system and performance audits of construction contractors in collaboration with project teamsSupport investigations into safety incidents and contribute to continuous improvement outcomesMonitor and report on safety performance, driving awareness and behaviour uplift across project teamsPartner with Project Managers to improve safety systems, processes, and project outcomesStay up to date with industry best practice and regulatory requirementsLead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and accountabilityChampion a high-performance, safety-first culture and challenge the status quo where neededBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and contractors at all levels to influence positive safety outcomes About YouYou are a confident and engaging safety professional who brings strong stakeholder management capability and thrives in a site-based, high-impact setting.




Experience & Knowledge:5+ years' experience in a similar health and safety construction roleStrong experience working with and influencing contractors and diverse stakeholder groupsSolid understanding of safety legislation and high-risk construction environmentsExperience providing safety advice across construction, energy, manufacturing or similar industriesDemonstrated experience in auditing and incident investigationAbility to problem solve, make sound decisions, and manage competing prioritiesSkills:Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skillsStrong communication and influencing capability across all levelsHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and personal driveStrong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentExcellent interpersonal, liaison, and negotiation skillsQualifications:Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)ICAM (or equivalent) investigation experienceLead Auditor qualification (desirable)White Card & valid driver's licence To ApplySquadron Energy is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
