About us
Genealogy SA is a member and volunteer supported organisation and has been in operation since ****. Our activities and programs are led by our Vision
to be the preeminent authority and resource for family history in South Australia, that provides reference material, research facilities and services to assist in the pursuit of genealogical and family history research. To learn more visit .
About the role
Essential Selection Criteria
Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal / external customers, colleagues and Management;
Demonstrated experience in customer service;
Demonstrated skills in conducting bookkeeping including end of month finance reconciliation tasks;
Evidence of ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with competing priorities;
Willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes;
Demonstrated administrative/clerical and computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM, and,
High level of computer skills including experience working with MS Office suite, and customer databases with the ability to be adaptive and transfer skills between platforms.
Desirable Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience working with MYOB;
Familiarity with current social media and communications tools;
Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot, diagnose and attend to basic computer IT issues;
Experience working with volunteers;
Experience in coordination of trades and building maintenance;
Experience managing amenities;
Record management and archiving experience;
Experience assisting with project and event coordination; and
Awareness of genealogy and family history research.
Special Conditions
The special conditions associated with this position include the requirements to:
Undertake an initial appointment of ***** hours a week (partial job share) with the capacity grow the role to 28 hours week;
Undertake an initial 6-month probation period, and
Not take leave during the end of financial year period (June1 to July 15).
