We are seeking a detail-oriented
Management Accountant
to manage day-to-day financial operations, oversee payroll, and provide strategic financial guidance.
This position is offered on a
minimum four-day per week basis, working at least 27.5 hours per week
based at our Sandgate office. We are open to discussing contract hours, working days, and start and finish times during the recruitment process.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, you will lead a small finance team, deliver accurate and timely reporting, and provide insights that support informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
This role provides leadership in enhancing financial performance and strengthening governance across the business.
Following the retirement of our long-term Management Accountant, this position presents an excellent opportunity to step into a well-established role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and support the finance team
Prepare annual consolidated financial statements and periodic management reports
Oversee and provide support for end-to-end payroll
Oversee the preparation and lodgement of BAS, and other statutory obligations




Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decisions
Support and advise HR on industrial instruments, leave entitlements, and related matters
About You
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or CPA highly regarded)
Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting within an Australian workplace
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of ATO requirements including BAS, GST, and payroll tax
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (BusinessCraft or Xero preferred)
Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
