Perth College is looking for an experienced English Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. The successful candidate will have a passion for literature, language and literacy, a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their full potential, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the wider School community.
This is a temporary full-time position for Term 4, ****, with a potential for the role to transition into an ongoing position.
The role involves teaching Senior School students and supporting them to achieve academic success within a positive and engaging learning environment. The ability to teach both ATAR English and ATAR Literature is highly desirable.
About you:
If you are a passionate English Teacher who inspires students to engage with literature, language and literacy, we would love to hear from you. You will bring excellent classroom management and communication skills, a student-centred approach to teaching and learning, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and supportive teaching team.
You have:
A Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts (English) with a Postgraduate Diploma of Education, or equivalent teaching qualification
Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
Current Working with Children Check
Experience teaching Senior School English, with the ability to teach ATAR English & Literature (highly regarded)
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to share expertise, resources and best practice
A demonstrated passion for English education and the ability to engage students in critical thinking,
analysis and effective communication
A commitment to fostering academic excellence and supporting the diverse learning needs of students
