About The Role
Are you passionate about leading teams to deliver impactful health and safety outcomes? WSP's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team is seeking an experienced leader ready to drive innovation, foster a positive safety culture, and shape the future of our national Health & Safety practice.
As Team Manager, Health & Safety, you will lead, coach, and influence a high-performing team to deliver strategic, operational, and technical excellence. You'll play a key role in identifying business growth opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our people. This is an opportunity to empower others, drive business development, and contribute to a culture of teamwork and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and foster a positive safety culture across the team
Ensure staff are trained and deliver work safely and profitably
Identify operational efficiencies and support business growth
Prepare proposals and manage projects to achieve strategic goals
Build trust, empower leaders, and develop staff competencies
Mentor, coach, and support ongoing professional development
Drive business development and contribute to market action plans
Deliver and manage Work Health & Safety-related projects
Monitor client satisfaction and proactively manage feedback
About You
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Health and Safety, Science, or equivalent
Experience leading high-performing teams, including virtual/remote staff
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and win new business
Strong client relationship and business development skills
Experience in budget management and change leadership
Ability to build technical capability and mentor others
Strategic, future-minded, and emotionally intelligent leader
