Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Handy person role based in Yallingup Siding, WA.
The Handy person will perform general maintenance and repair tasks across buildings, outdoor areas, and facilities, including basic carpentry, minor plumbing, painting, and small repair projects.
The role includes conducting routine inspections, identifying issues, and completing preventative maintenance to keep the property in good working order.
These tasks will be along the lines of the following.
· Repairing broken windows, screens, doors, fences, barbecues, picnic tables, shelves, cupboards and other items· Replacing defective items such as light bulbs· Repairing and painting interior and exterior surfaces such as walls,



ceilings and fences· Clearing rubbish and leaves from driveways and grounds· Mowing lawns and cultivating gardens· Adjusting doors and windows· Replacing tap washers· Putting up handrails and grab railsGeneral help around the propertyThe skills and/or experience required (Must have at least 12 months experience working as handy person)Ability to work independentlyFluent in English QualificationsDemonstrated experience in general maintenance work, including basic carpentry, minor repairs, and use of hand and power tools.Ability to perform routine building and grounds upkeep, such as painting, patching, light fixture replacement, and simple plumbing tasks.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose common maintenance issues and implement practical solutions.Awareness of workplace safety practices, including protected tool use, manual handling, and adherence to relevant safety guidelines.Reliable time management skills, with the ability to organize tasks, follow work schedules, and complete jobs with minimal supervision.Clear and respectful communication skills to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and working both indoors and outdoors.Relevant trade or maintenance experience; vocational training or certifications in building maintenance or a related field are an advantage.Valid driver's license and reliable transport to Yallingup Siding, WA, or ability to commute consistently to the worksite.
