With our Head Office located in Tomago, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Purchasing Officer / Stores Coordinator to become a key member of our operations team.

About the Role
Reporting directly to WRS Works Manager and Office Manager , you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement and control of materials required for fabrication, construction projects, and general stock holdings.
Key responsibilities include:
Purchasing project materials, consumables, and stock items
Managing supplier orders and expediting deliveries
Monitoring and tracking purchase orders from placement through to receipt
Liaising with Project Managers, Supervisors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Maintaining inventory levels and stock control systems
Identifying recent suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing
Receiving and issuing stock from the warehouse and stores area
Ensuring all purchasing and inventory records are accurately maintained
Assisting with general stores and yard operations as required
About You
Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, stores, or inventory management
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Intermediate to advanced computer skills
Experience with BusinessCraft or similar ERP systems (desirable)
Current Driver's Licence
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Knowledge of building, steel, or construction materials (highly regarded)
The ability to work independently while supporting a broader project team
