About the Role
This isn't your average sales role. As our Culinary Meat Specialist, you'll be a trusted advisor to our customer chefs, restaurants, distributors and foodservice operators in the industry. You'll combine your technical meat knowledge with sharp commercial instincts to deliver tailored protein solutions that genuinely make a difference to your customers' menus and businesses.
You'll be the face of the Dick Stone brand - building long-term partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service and product expertise.
What You'll Be Doing
Driving Sales & Business Growth
Hit and exceed sales, revenue and gross profit targets
Identify and convert exciting new business opportunities across the foodservice sector
Grow existing accounts through proactive, solution-based selling
Stay ahead of market trends, pricing shifts and competitor activity
Building Exceptional Customer Relationships
Be a trusted advisor for chefs, restaurants, distributors and wholesalers
Understand your customers' menus, operational needs and commercial goals
Manage everything from quotations and pricing to issue resolution - professionally and efficiently
Conduct regular site visits, account reviews and face-to-face meetings
Sharing Your Product Expertise
Showcase your expert knowledge of meat cuts, specifications, cooking applications and portion control
Educate customers on yield optimisation, product utilisation and value-added opportunities




Support menu development and product selection
Proud ambassador for the Dick Stone brand
Managing Stock & Commercial Performance
Oversee buying and selling activities to optimise stock turnover and profitability
Protect gross profit through smart pricing and disciplined commercial decisions
Ensure customer accounts operate within approved trading terms
Collaborate with Operations to align customer demand with inventory and production capacity
Staying Compliant & Keeping Everyone Safe
Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport obligations
Follow all WHS policies and contribute to a safe working environment
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in foodservice sales
Strong understanding of meat and cooking techniques, chefs welcome.
A natural relationship builder with positive negotiation and problem solving, out of the box thinker!
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Comfortable with Microsoft Office
Qualification in Commercial Cookery, Butchery or a related discipline
Experience working directly with chefs or foodservice operators
Familiarity with HACCP, food safety and quality assurance systems
