We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Casual Fashion & Design Instructor to deliver engaging art, craft, fashion and design knowledge to students aged 5–18, across both primary and secondary school levels.

This position is ideal for someone with a solid fashion or design background who enjoys working with young people and can inspire students through practical learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging fashion, art, craft and design lessons.

Teach students aged 5–18 at different skill and year levels.

Adapt lesson content for primary and secondary school students.

Guide students through creative activities from initial concept to final outcome.

Introduce students to fashion design, illustration, textiles, materials and creative processes.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and classroom activities.

Maintain a positive, inclusive and safe learning workplace.

Contribute ideas for workshops, holiday programs, innovative future learning framework.

Support the development of connections and collaborative opportunities within the fashion industry.





About You

A qualification or professional background in fashion design, textiles, visual arts or a related field.

Practical experience within the fashion or creative industries.

Experience teaching, mentoring or working with children and teenagers is highly desirable.

Strong communication, presentation and classroom-management skills.

Creative, organised, reliable and confident working independently.

Able to design age-appropriate, hands‑on learning activities.

Existing connections within the fashion industry, including designers, brands, studios, educational institutions or industry professionals, will be highly regarded.

Available to work versatile casual hours, which may include weekdays, after-school hours, weekends and school holidays.

Mandatory Requirements

A valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.

A National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
