Job Description
Melco Foods Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Quality Assurance (Food Safety) Manager to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As an Experienced Quality Assurance (Food Safety) Manager, you will lead the Quality Assurance team in delivering exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive quality assurance program.
Maintain QA documentation and ensure regulatory compliance. Collect and Verify the Quality Management System (QMS)documents. Ensure all the documents are filled on time
Oversee and conduct regular quality audits/ checks of our commercial kitchen component and food production processes.
Lead the team in external audits and internal audits.
Establish and maintain quality control standards and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and product enhancement.
Investigate customer feedback and product quality issues to drive corrective and preventive actions.
Stay current with industry regulations and maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Monitor performance against quality objectives, manage workloads and drive engagement and capability uplift within QA team members. Coach,



mentor and train teams in GMP, HACCP and food safety and quality programs within team
Lead and develop the large the site Quality team across all shifts to ensure full operational coverage. Collaborate closely with the QA/ QC/ CCP team to ensure seamless alignment between QA systems and on-the-floor QC activities.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
At least 5-6 years of relevant experience in food quality assurance, with a background in a food manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, SQF, HACCP, and GMP is a must.
Excellent problem-solving, decision making and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
Experience with quality assurance software and tools is a plus.

The successful candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in quality assurance, particularly in food production.
