The Role:
Due to continued growth, we are searching for a Civil Engineer to join our team — You will play a key role in delivering designs and reports across a variety of projects - working alongside our structural, geotechnical and site engineers to deliver technical activities and designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver design solutions inwastewater, stormwater and drainage infrastructure applications
Review and analyse engineering documentation, providing compliance checks and direction
Liaise between internal teams and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables and ensure that client requirements are translated into designs
Conduct inspections and assessments of infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Undertake engineering judgement, interpretation and analysis of data to provide practical and commercial solutions.




Ensure all design work meets Australian Standards local council engineering requirements
Liaise with councils, authorities, developers and clients to achieve optimised designs
Working on Development Engineering projects from Application to Completion stages

Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must have
5+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer with Sydney Water or as a WSC (with road and pavement design experience highly regarded)
A degree in Civil Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia (CPEng and higher education are highly regarded)
A demonstrated background in delivering detailed design & documentation
Understanding of NSW planning legislation and development processes and familiarity with urban design concepts
Strong understanding ofAustralian Standards, WSAA and SWC Standards and local council engineering requirements
C3 or C4 competency levels with a range of comparable projects
A specific cover letter is a must, outlining the relevance of your experience to this position
