Due to continued growth in our Family Law practice, we are seeking an ambitious and capable
Family Lawyer with 2-4 years post-admission experience
to join our team servicing clients across
Newcastle and the Central Coast
.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys family law and wants to work in a role that offers high-quality files, strong administrative support, direct client contact, court advocacy opportunities, and genuine career progression.
The Role
You will work closely with senior practitioners while managing your own files and developing your practice. The role involves exposure to a broad range of family law matters, including:
Property settlements
Divorce applications
Consent Orders
Urgent parenting and recovery matters
Mediation and dispute resolution
Federal Circuit and Family Courtof Australialitigation
You will have responsibility for running matters from commencement through to resolution, including:
Conducting client conferences
Drafting correspondence, affidavits, applications and court documents
Negotiating settlements
Liaising with barristers, experts and other professionals
Attending mediations and court appearances
Providing practical and commercially sensible advice to clients
About You
The successful applicant will have:
2-4 years post-admission experience, with substantial exposure to family law matters
A current Australian practising certificate
Strong drafting and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to manage a busy file load efficiently
Confidence in dealing directly with clients




Strong organisational and time management skills
A willingness to appear in court and develop advocacy skills
A genuine interest in building a long-term career in family law
