About The Role
This temporary (Maternity Leave) full-time Grade 3 Physiotherapy position is based in our sub-acute rehab service at the McKellar Centre. The role involves managing a caseload of inpatients while providing senior clinical leadership, guidance and support within the McK IRC Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams. The inpatient caseload will consist of a mix of orthopaedic, general rehab patients, plus either spinal cord injury or amputee patients. The successful applicant will deliver evidence-based, patient-centred physiotherapy care, contribute to inter-professional collaboration, support education and supervision of staff and students, and actively participate in service development aligned with Barwon Health's strategic and service plans.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and care planning within a multidisciplinary acute care team.
Deliver clinical leadership, supervision and support to Grade 1 and Grade 2 Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants.
Lead service improvement initiatives, quality activities and innovative models of care within the clinical area.
Contribute to education,
mentoring and career development of staff and physiotherapy students.
What We're Looking For
A registered Physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience and advanced practice capability in an acute/sub-acute healthcare setting.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising and supporting junior clinicians.
Solid communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
