Hi-Trans Express is currently seeking an experienced and safety-conscious
Forklift Operator
to join our Melbourne operations team in Chelsea Heights. This is a hands-on role focused on the
protected and efficient loading of Linehaul freight
to ensure timely vehicle departures from our depot.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a forklift to load and unload freight
Load outgoing Linehaul freight and scan accordingly
Unload local PUD freight
Control freight including pallets, awkward/oversized cargo,



and dangerous goods
Open and close tautliner vehicles, gates, and apply strapping
Ensure compliance with load restraint standards
Maintain accurate freight scanning and staging
Support general depot duties as required
To be successful, you must have:
A current
LF Forklift Licence
Minimum 2 years' recent experience
loading Linehaul freight
Knowledge of
Linehaul load distribution
Experience handling
oversize and dangerous goods
Understanding of
load restraint compliance
The ability to
work unsupervised
and as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
Ability to pass a
pre-employment medical
and
national police check
