Sapphire Smiles Dental is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional team in Goonellabah.

Located in East Point Shopping Centre next to Chemist Warehouse, our modern, privately owned practice offers a welcoming atmosphere, high-quality patient care, and a robust team culture, with free onsite parking available.

This casual role offers up to 32 hours per week , Monday to Friday, with hours based on practice needs including leave cover and ongoing growth. Flexibility is essential.

What You'll Do

Dental Assistant:
Chairside assistance for a range of general dental procedures
Sterilisation and infection control in line with current guidelines
Setting up, packing down, and maintaining treatment rooms to a high standard




Assisting with patient preparation and post‑treatment care
Greet patients and provide a warm, professional contact
occasional appointment bookings, recalls, and confirmations
occasional Process payments, health fund claims, and general enquiries
Answer phones and handle patient communications with confidence
Support smooth daily practice operations

What You'll Bring
Minimum 6 months experience as a Dental Assistant (Australian experience preferred)
Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone
Solid organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment
Friendly, qualified, and patient‑focused attitude
Confidence using dental software (DENTALLY experience highly regarded)
Certificate III in Dental Assisting highly regarded
Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technology
Unrestricted working rights in Australia
