About the Role
As a
Registrar or Principal House Officer (Psychiatry)
, you will provide evidence-based psychiatric assessment, treatment and ongoing care across inpatient, community and outreach settings.
Working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting psychiatric assessments and developing treatment plans




Providing ongoing care across inpatient, community and outreach services
Participating in outpatient clinics and inpatient ward rounds
Contributing to the on-call roster
Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Participating in teaching, research and quality improvement activities
Developing your clinical expertise within an accredited training environment
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner, or eligibility for registration
A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong clinical judgement and evidence-based practice
The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
A commitment to ongoing learning, quality improvement and professional development
Remuneration
Total remuneration of
up to $181,****** per annum
, including:
Salary between
$137,196 - $150,684 p.a.
(L4-L7), or
Salary between
$137,196 - $158,618 p.a.
(L4-L9)
*****% employer superannuation
17.5% annual leave loading
