About the opportunity
As the Medicare Mental Health Manager you will provide clinical operational leadership across Footprints' Medicare Mental Health services, including establishing and operationalising new service locations while maintaining the performance, quality and sustainability of existing centres. Reporting to the General Manager Service Operations, you will be accountable for ensuring services are integrated, accessible, safe, person-led and responsive to local community needs.
You will lead service mobilisation and ongoing operations, including project planning, workforce establishment, stakeholder engagement, service model implementation, financial oversight, governance and performance monitoring. You will work closely with internal teams, funding bodies, Primary Health Networks, government agencies, health services and community partners to ensure centres are established and operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and organisational requirements.
You will lead a high-performing and collaborative service environment where people with lived experience contribute to service design and improvement,
team members are supported to deliver contemporary practice and partnerships strengthen pathways into and across the mental health system.
What you will bring:
Significant management experience within community mental health, health, human services or another complex service delivery environment, including leadership of multidisciplinary and/or multi-site services.
Demonstrated experience establishing, mobilising or significantly redesigning a service or centre through structured project and change management.
Advanced clinical practice and management experience relevant to the MMHC setting, including assessment, treatment planning, service delivery and risk management practice skills.
Strong knowledge of contemporary community mental health practice, including recovery-oriented, person-led, culturally responsive, lived experience and integrated care principles.
Strong understanding of credentialling and scope of practice requirements for peer and clinical workforce.
Demonstrated ability to build productive partnerships and referral pathways with funders, health services, government agencies, community organisations and people with lived experience.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, contracts, service data, compliance, risk and performance within a funded service environment.
Experience within Medicare Mental Health Centres, Head to Health (desirable).
Requirements:
Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence.
NDIS Worker Screening Check or current Yellow Card and Blue Card.
Qualification as a Psychologist, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Counsellor (ACA 4 or equivalent) and registration or membership with a relevant professional association.
Formal qualifications or certification in project management, change management, service design or process improvement (desirable).
