About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Graduate/entry-level Access Consultant to join our Disability Access team in our Sydney office. You'll be at the forefront of an established discipline, working alongside a dynamic group of professionals in a positive and energetic workplace.
As our Sydney office continues to experience significant growth, you will play a key role in shaping the future of this expanding team. With opportunities for increased responsibilities, you'll collaborate with experienced consultants and contribute to high-profile projects nationwide.
Your role will involve a wide variety of access-related areas, including assessing architectural documentation, providing design advice and alternatives, onsite inspections and working on Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Livable Housing Australia (LHA), etc.
The Role
Duties will include:
Preparation of written reports;
Analyse and interpret legislation;




Developing practical design alternatives that satisfy legislative requirements;
Communicating requirements with clients;
Self-management of clients and projects;
Input and advice on access design documentation (drawings);
Undertaking onsite access inspections; and
Some past relevant experience would be favourable but not essential. All relevant training will be provided.
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
Certificate IV or Diploma of Access Consultancy is not required, but would be favourable;
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying; or
Diploma in Design or Architecture is preferred but not required;
Creativity, driven, attention to detail;
Positive and proactive mindset;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Exceptional time-management skills/experience;
High capacity for critical and analytical thinking;
Ability to work independently, as well as in a larger team; and
Hold a current driver's license.
