About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intermediate Accountant to join our Sydney Olympic Park team. Reporting to a Client Manager, you will work across a diverse client base, preparing compliance work and building the technical and client-facing skills that will define the next stage of your career.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
As an Intermediate Accountant, and as part of the broader team, you are required to undertake all your duties with enthusiasm and dedication. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
Financial Accounts
Business Activity Statements
Instalment Activity Statements
Liaising with clients
Liaising with the ATO
Liaising with ASIC
Staff training preparation and presentation
Appearing in material that may be posted and broadcast online
Adherence to all Workplace Health and Safety guidelines for all staff members
Adherence to all the organisation's employment policies




Any other duties as directed by the employer
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
Experience in an Australian public practice / accounting firm setting
Sound experience preparing income tax returns, financial statements and BAS/IAS across a range of entity types (individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships)
Proficiency with Xero (and ideally Xero Practice Manager) and the Microsoft Office suite
CA or CPA qualification underway or a commitment to commence
Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence liaising with clients
Excellent attention to detail, time management and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
Ability to work in office full time
