About the role
Milligram / Telegram Co is seeking a talented
Photographer
to join our creative team on a
part-time basis
. Based in
Collingwood, VIC
, (with travel both locally and interstate may be required) this role with Telegram Co. offers an exciting opportunity to bring visual storytelling to life across our diverse portfolio of projects. As a Photographer, you will play a crucial part in creating compelling imagery that captures the essence of our brand and resonates with our audience. This position is essential to our creative output and directly contributes to the visual identity and commercial success of our organisation.
What you'll be doing
Capture high-quality photographs for a variety of projects including product, lifestyle, editorial work, and creative campaigns across digital, print and wholesale.
Manage all stages of photography including planning, lighting setup, styling, shooting, backup, and editing.
Collaborate with the Marketing & Design Manager to plan and prioritise photography requirements for campaigns, retail, eCommerce, and social channels.
Support shoot planning including shot lists, concepts, props, styling notes,



and location requirements.
Capture stills and short-form visual content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms, supporting social storytelling and seasonal campaigns.
Edit and retouch photographs using industry-standard software to ensure final images meet quality standards and brand guidelines
Maintain and care for photography equipment and maintain detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance
Develop and maintain a strong portfolio of work that showcases creative range and technical proficiency
Stay current with photography trends, techniques, and emerging technologies within the advertising and media industry
Contribute creative ideas and concepts during brainstorming sessions and project planning meetings
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a qualified Photographer (3-5 years) with a strong portfolio demonstrating commercial photography work across various genres.
Proficiency with digital photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and accessories.
Advanced proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless systems, lighting equipment, and studio setup.
Advanced skills in post-processing software such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop,



or equivalent qualified editing tools.
Strong understanding of composition, lighting, colour theory, and visual aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a creative team.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
Flexibility and adaptability to work on diverse projects and styles as required.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.
Preferably, experience working within advertising, media, or creative agencies.
Knowledge of digital asset management systems and workflow processes is desirable.
