We are seeking a strategically influential and commercially astute Chief Executive Officer to lead a respected not-for-profit organisation into its next phase of growth, sector leadership, and national impact while remaining cognisant of maintaining financial sustainability.
This is an opportunity for a highly credible leader with executive presence and established networks to shape the future of women's participation and leadership in STEM. The ideal candidate for this role is a leader who can balance purpose with performance, someone with proven sales and partnership experience with large organisations who can generate a financial surplus that is reinvested into mission delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will:
Lead strategy execution and organisational performance
Build and secure high-value partnerships with corporates, government and large institutions
Leverage existing executive-level networks to unlock strategic partnerships, sponsorship and funding opportunities
Represent the organisation publicly and strengthen advocacy impact
Represent the organisation at senior industry forums, government roundtables and high-level stakeholder engagements
Act as a trusted advisor to the Board on sector trends, policy shifts and growth opportunities
Ensure strong governance, financial management and compliance
Drive diversified revenue streams and ensure sustainable surplus generation
Lead, inspire and manage staff and volunteers

What We're Looking For
You will bring:
Senior executive or CEO-level leadership experience
Proven success selling services, partnerships or programs to large organisations
Established executive networks across corporate, government or industry sectors
Demonstrated ability to operate credibly with C-suite leaders, Board Chairs and senior decision-makers
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget and surplus management
Strategic thinker capable of balancing long-term impact with commercial performance
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills
Executive presence with the ability to inspire confidence and command respect in high-level environments
Experience working with Boards and diverse stakeholders
Political acumen and solid stakeholder judgement
A genuine commitment to purpose and impact
