What this opportunity involves:
An overview of the role:
You conduct independent site inspections, audits, and compliance verification across assigned projects, providing qualitative field intelligence that complements data-driven reporting. Your role is to verify implementation, provide technical guidance, and report findings—not to perform project teams' HSSE responsibilities for them.
This is what we're looking for:
Independent Assurance
Regular site inspections and audits covering health, safety, and environmental compliance
tracking corrective actions
feeding findings into JLL systems for reporting
participating in pre-construction risk reviews
Project Support
Providing technical HSSE guidance to Project Managers and site teams
supporting escalations and incident investigations
engaging subcontractors on compliance
participating in toolbox talks and mentoring junior staff
Stakeholder Engagement
Building team-oriented relationships with project teams and clients
supporting HSSE documentation and reporting
acting as a practical partner rather than enforcement officer
Continuous Improvement
Identifying trends and systemic issues
contributing to framework development
staying current with legislation and best practices
Requirements




Minimum 4 years' HSE experience in construction/property with demonstrated site-based delivery. Tertiary qualification or diploma in WHS; solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation across jurisdictions. Strong interpersonal skills to influence without authority. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Relevant certifications (First Aid, White Card); ISO ***** knowledge. Security clearance eligibility for government work.
