As a Staff Specialist in Pain Medicine, you'll join a highly skilled Department of Anaesthesia committed to delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based care.
In this role you will:
Deliver high-quality specialist Acute Pain Medicine services.
Provide expert advice across surgical and medical specialties.
Support the expansion of acute pain services and perioperative care.
Supervise and mentor Registrars, PHOs, Interns and junior doctors.
Participate in clinical governance, research and quality improvement.
Develop evidence-based clinical guidelines and policies.
Foster a culture of patient safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
About you
You're an experienced Specialist in Pain Medicine who is passionate about improving patient outcomes through cooperative, evidence-based care.
You'll bring:
Fellowship in Pain Medicine (FFPMANZCA or equivalent).
Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
Expertise in Acute Pain Medicine and perioperative care.
Strong adult anaesthesia experience across varied specialties.
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Experience supervising and developing junior medical staff.
Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and clinical governance.
Compassionate, patient-centred approach with exceptional professionalism.
