Datco Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Operator / Setter to join our manufacturing team.
This is a full-time position based at our facility in Carrum Downs, VIC ****.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC lathe machines to produce precision components according to specifications.
You will play a crucial part in maintaining our production schedules and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
This position offers the opportunity to work with up-to-date machining equipment and contribute to the successful delivery of our clients' projects.Key responsibilitiesSet up and configure CNC lathe machinesExperience on lathes with live tooling is essential.Supervise machines during operation and adjust as needed for optimal resultsPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performanceInspect finished components for quality,



accuracy and defects using precision measuring toolsWhat we're looking forProven experience operating and setting up CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of technical drawingsCompetency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, calipers and gaugesKnowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools and materialsAbility to maintain accurate records and documentation of production activitiesMechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracyExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesRelevant machining or engineering qualifications or certifications are advantageousExperiece with Mastercam would be an advantageWhat we offerAt Datco Industries, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive and professional working environment.
