Your duties will include:Maintaining and repairing roads, footpaths, kerb and channel,



drainage systems and other Council assetsCompleting minor concreting, asphalt patching and bluestone repairsOperating civil plant and equipment including excavators, skid steers, rollers and compactorsDriving MR trucks to transport materials, machinery and equipment between worksitesResponding to road defects and maintenance requestsInstalling and maintaining traffic management equipment and signageConducting pre-start inspections and basic maintenance checks on vehicles and equipmentFollowing safe work practices, completing work orders and reporting hazardsWorking collaboratively with the Road Maintenance team to deliver high-quality outcomesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you'll have:Current MR (Medium Rigid) Truck Licence (Required)Provide a VicRoads 5 year demerit points histroy (Required)Current Working With Children Check (Required)Current Police Check (Required)Experience in road maintenance, civil construction or infrastructure maintenanceExperience operating civil plant and machineryKnowledge of asphalt, concrete, drainage or road repair worksConstruction White CardStrong commitment to workplace health and safetyAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsHighly RegardedTraffic Management qualifications (Stop/Slow, Implement Traffic Management Plan or equivalent)First Aid CertificateHR LicenceConfined Space Ticket or other civil construction ticketsWorking HoursMonday to FridayHours generally operate between 7:00am and 3:00pm, with some variation depending on operational requirements.Pay Rate: $***** per hour + SuperIf you're an experienced Road Maintenance skilled with an MR Truck Licence and you're looking for a long-term chance within Local Government, we'd love to hear from you.
