Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC – Beechworth VICHelp people prepare for a successful return to the community.Support programs that make a real difference every day.Build strong relationships in a supportive prison team.Use your people skills while growing your administration experience.Ongoing, full-time role earning $62,104 - $79,753 per year, plus super.Beechworth, Victoria locationWhat you will doAs programs officer, you will support prisoner programs that help people build skills and prepare for life after prison.You will work with a friendly team, support daily program delivery and help keep key services running well.You will:deliver prisoner programs and support services, including intake and orientationassist prisoners to access programs, activities and welfare supportcomplete administration, maintain records and manage program informationsupport staff with prisoner referrals, welfare requests and daily program activitieswork with multidisciplinary teams to encourage program participation and support successful community transition.About youYou should have experience or an understanding of working in a correctional environment.
Experience in welfare, employment or housing is an advantage.
