An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to take ownership of a newly redeveloped, state-of-the-art healthcare and aged care facility located in Brisbane's inner eastern suburbs.
This is a rare opportunity to lead the facilities, asset management and building services function for a landmark development while playing a critical role in the transition from construction completion through to full operational readiness.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all facilities, maintenance, compliance, building services and asset management activities across a premium aged care environment comprising 123 resident rooms, memory support services, hospitality-style amenities and complex building infrastructure.
As the property approaches practical completion, you will work closely with the project and construction teams to coordinate the building handover process, establish maintenance frameworks and contractor partnerships, implement CMMS systems and ensure operational readiness for opening day. You will also take ownership of defect liability period management and ongoing asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all facilities management, maintenance and building operations activities.
Manage critical building services including HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire and security systems.
Develop and oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
Ensure statutory compliance and management of essential services obligations.
Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits and compliance reporting.
Lead asset lifecycle planning, condition assessments and capital forecasting.
Manage contractors, consultants and service providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
Deliver capital upgrades, refurbishment projects and asset improvement initiatives.
Drive sustainability, operational efficiency and continuous improvement programs.
Build strong relationships with operational, clinical and corporate stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Significant experience in Facilities Management, Building Services, Property Operations or Asset Management.
Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire and security systems.
Demonstrated experience managing preventative maintenance programs and critical infrastructure.
Experience delivering capital works, refurbishment and asset improvement projects.
Strong contractor management, procurement and budget management capabilities.
Sound understanding of WHS, compliance and risk management requirements.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
Experience within aged care, healthcare, retirement living, hospitals, hotels, universities or similarly complex built environments will be highly regarded.
