The position is part time, and can be flexible to suit you.
As an occupational therapist with MSS, you will be operating within the Support at Home funding model to identify home modifications and provide functional assessments, aids and equipment assessments.You will be workingin a fast-paced, values-driven environment, aimed at assisting older people to remain living in their own homes.
You will deliver exceptional services, empowering client choice andpositively contributing to their health and well-being byencouragingongoing active participation in the home and community.Selection CriteriaEssential Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor of Occupational Therapy, or an equivalent qualification and current AHPRA registration with 2 years minimum experienceCurrent NSW driver's licenceUse of a reliable vehicle with a current NSW registration and minimum third-party property damage insuranceCurrent First Aid and CPR certificatesExperience in assisting people to make choices that enable them to reach their full health and well-being potentialAn understanding of the needs of people from a diverse range of backgroundsAn understanding of safe work practices and proven experience in the use of appropriate manual handling techniquesExperience in reporting and assessments related to OT servicesWillingness to work across MSS locations – Taree, Port Macquarie and the Great Lakes (fleet vehicle available for use)Personal AttributesA passion for working in the Aged Care sectorExcellent collaboration skills, to be able to work professionally and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhat do we offer?
