MAARS are partnering with a fast-growing independent media agency in Sydney that operates with a startup mindset, values commercial thinking, and works as a true extension of its clients’ teams.

The Role

We’re looking for a Media Investment / Trading / Buying Manager with strong Australian agency experience who’s ready to take ownership of client relationships, campaign delivery, and media strategy across a diverse portfolio of brands.

You’ll be hands‑on across the full campaign lifecycle - from briefing and planning through to implementation, optimisation, reporting, and performance analysis.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both the detail of execution and the thinking behind the strategy, and who can confidently engage with clients in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.

What you’ll do
Plan, negotiate, and activate media across multiple channels with clear links to business outcomes
Manage end‑to‑end campaign delivery including briefing, trafficking, implementation, and optimisation
Monitor performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve results
Negotiate rates, placements,



and value‑add opportunities
Produce explicit, insight‑driven reporting tied to client KPIs
Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to improve processes and outcomes

What we’re looking for
3+ years’ experience in a media agency - planning & buying media
Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape – OOH, Streaming, TV, Audio, Digital
Commercially minded with strong analytical thinking
Confident communicator who can lead conversations and present recommendations
Highly proactive, accountable, and outcome‑focused
Thrives in quick‑moving, entrepreneurial environments – think startup
