About the Role
You will plan and deliver engaging, inclusive Physical Education across multiple year levels, adapting your approach for a diverse student cohort.
The role requires a warm yet firm presence, strong behaviour management, and a trauma‐informed lens (Berry Street experience highly regarded).
You will work within a supportive specialist environment and contribute to the ongoing development of PE and wellbeing programs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high‐quality PE lessons across Primary and Secondary school
Establish clear routines and consistent expectations to support positive behaviour
Differentiate learning to engage students with diverse needs and backgrounds
Use trauma‐informed strategies to create safe, inclusive learning environments
Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen specialist programmes and student engagement
Build strong relationships with students, families and staff to support positive outcomes
What You'll Bring




Current or pending VIT registration
Tertiary qualifications in Education
Experience teaching PE (primary and/or secondary) with confidence across a varied load
Strong behaviour management and the ability to build rapport quickly
Experience with the Berry Street Model highly desirable
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‐oriented approach
