We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a rapid‑paced food manufacturing operation on a full‑time afternoon shift. This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on mechanical work, thrives in a high‑output production environment, and takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of production and packaging machinery. The work is wide-ranging, essential to daily operations, and offers strong long‑term stability in a well‑established facility.
Key Responsibilities
Reactive and preventative maintenance across production lines
Mechanical fault‑finding on high‑speed packaging and processing equipment
Servicing conveyors, ovens, mixers, pumps, motors and automated machinery
Completing maintenance logs, safety checks and compliance documentation
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
What You Bring
Trade qualification: Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter
Experience in FMCG, food, beverage or packaging manufacturingStrong mechanical fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work safely within strict hygiene and compliance standards
Comfortable working a full‑time afternoon shift (12pm–8:30pm)
Good communication and teamwork skills
