Our client is a founder-led Australian women's fashion brand based on the Northern Beaches.
They started small, built their name on knowing their customer inside out, and have grown into one of the country's more impressive direct-to-consumer stories.
Everything is sold online, the pace is quick, and there is a serious amount of product moving through the business, 25 to 30 new styles a week, with well over a thousand live on the site at any one time.That volume is why they are hiring.
The buying team needs people who can own the admin that keeps product moving, from first sample through to the moment it lands on the website.
Samples, suppliers, purchase orders, shipments, product set‐up, launches.
When a brand releases that many new styles every week, this part of the process is where the whole thing is won or lost.They are hiring two roles, one sitting earlier in the product journey around samples and development, and one focused on orders, delivery and getting product live.
Where you land depends on your experience, and both roles use the same systems and skills, so you will learn the full picture either way.Day to day, depending on the role, you would be:Raising purchase orders and following them through to deliveryRequesting,



tracking and managing samples through developmentCommunicating with suppliers on samples, changes, costs and timingsKeeping the critical path updated, accurate and movingSetting products up on Shopify and Indigo8, including uploads, pricing and product informationTracking shipments and ETAs, and chasing when dates slipCoordinating stock movements and helping ranges launch each weekSupporting try‐on days, photoshoots and content daysWhat we are looking for:Anywhere from six months (or an internship in buying/related area) to two years' experience, in buying, product, merchandise admin.Sharp attention to detail and genuine organisation.Solid written communication, plenty of the supplier work happens over emailComfortable with pace and juggling multiple things at onceConfidence with systems, or the appetite to pick them up quicklyLiving around Northern Sydney or the Northern Beaches, the roles are based on‐site at their Northern Beaches HQSalary is $55,000 to $75,000 plus super, depending on your experience and which role fits you best.If this sounds like your way into fashion buying, or your next step in it, apply and we will take it from there.
