The business focuses on maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient fleet operations through regular servicing, preventative maintenance, and timely mechanical repairs to minimise vehicle downtime and support ongoing transport activities.About the RoleThe Diesel Motor Mechanic position is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel‐powered trucks and heavy vehicles as part of the business's day‐to‐day workshop operations.
The role supports fleet reliability by ensuring vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and operational standards.Location: 150 Bridge Road, Keysborough VICEmployment Type: Full‐TimeSalary: $85,000 to $95,000 + SuperannuationKey ResponsibilitiesInspect diesel‐powered trucks and heavy vehicles to diagnose mechanical faults and defectsPerform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel engines and associated systemsRepair and replace defective engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, hydraulic,
and electrical componentsTest and adjust mechanical systems following servicing and repair workCarry out engine tuning and fault‐finding using appropriate diagnostic equipmentMaintain service records, repair documentation, and parts usage recordsEnsure vehicles meet operational safety and roadworthiness requirements following repairsMaintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe conditionAssist with identifying maintenance requirements to minimise vehicle downtimeFollow workplace health and safety procedures at all timesCandidate RequirementsRelevant qualification such as Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalentMinimum 1–2 years of full‐time relevant work experience in a similar roleExperience servicing and repairing diesel‐powered trucks or heavy vehiclesStrong understanding of diesel engines, heavy vehicle mechanical systems, and diagnostic proceduresAbility to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficientlyStrong attention to detail and problem‐solving skillsAbility to work effectively within a workshop and team environmentOnly candidates currently residing in Australia will be shortlistedHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.
