We're seeking an experienced Process Assistant to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Horsley Park.
Operations is the heart and soul of everything Amazon does.
It is thanks to effective operations that items are processed and dispatched to our customers on time.
Being a Process Assistant gives you the chance to see how all the different parts of operations work and play a role in making sure everything runs smoothly.
You'll be the first point of contact for team members during their shift and help them follow the processes that your managers have put in place.
This is a hands‐on role, which will give you experience in using the tools and systems that make our operations successful.
Key Responsibilities
Support and work in Inbound/Outbound Operations including other departments as required
Maintain a safe workplace by following Safety SOPs, ensuring the well‐being of all personnel and the integrity of Amazon operations
Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etc
Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, and provide important shift information to front line management to ensure operational excellence across shifts
Support and train employees to deliver great service and supervise them in their daily tasks
Support the Shift/Area Manager with projects to improve processes, cultivate a safe working workplace, and increase workforce engagement
Providing coverage for Area Managers
Work with other departments to find solutions to address common issues or support needs in areas of key performance
Use data analysis to identify ways to optimise safety, quality and productivity
Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking,
reporting and feedback of associate performance
Providing policy follow‐up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals
A day in the life
Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required
Comfortable in lifting up to 16 kilos, stand/walk for up to ***** hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members
Qualifications
Leadership experience directly managing others
Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
