ASX is seeking an experienced Calypso developer to join our Technology and Delivery division.
The role involves designing, building, and operating scalable, resilient platforms that support critical market infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and customize Calypso modules (workflows, trade processing, interfaces, reporting)Provide BAU support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and defect resolutionImplement enhancements and configuration changes aligned to business requirementsBuild and maintain integrations with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data, clearing, reporting systems)Participate in release cycles (build, deployment, regression, UAT support)Collaborate with QA to support test automation and validation of trade flowsOptimize system performance and ensure high availability of Calypso servicesContribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment automation (GitLab, Ansible, etc.)Document technical designs, configurations, and fixesQualifications8–10+ years of experience on Calypso implementations/upgradesStrong core Java development skills (collections, multithreading, JDBC)Hands‐on experience with the Calypso platform (APIs, workflows, engines,



messaging)Solid understanding of capital markets (trade lifecycle, derivatives, FX, fixed income)Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server)Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scriptingStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skillsExperience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and AnsibleExperience with Kafka or other messaging frameworksExpertise in system integration and complex Calypso customizationsKnowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery modelsNice to have: Experience with MarkitWire, clearing workflows, collateral managementNice to have: Experience with Calypso version upgradesNice to have: Exposure to automation frameworks/QA integrationApplicants must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
