We are working with a leading global organisation to in their search for a Legal & Compliance Specialist to support its the business on a 12-month contract.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role provides comprehensive legal and compliance support across the business, advising on a broad range of commercial, regulatory and operational matters. It involves proactively identifying and managing risk, supporting strategic and day‑to‑day decision‑making, and ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. The role also plays a key part in strengthening compliance frameworks and improving legal processes to support business efficiency and growth.
Responsibilities
Providing legal and compliance advice to stakeholders across the business
Reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements
Supporting the identification and management of legal and compliance risks
Assisting with the implementation and ongoing management of compliance frameworks,
policies and procedures
Delivering compliance training and guidance on regulatory requirements
Reviewing external communications and materials for compliance
Working with cross‑functional teams across ANZ and international offices
Supporting process improvements and legal operations initiatives
Requirements
Qualified lawyer with experience in private practice and in‑house within a regulated industry
Experience in commercial contracting and risk assessment
Exposure to compliance frameworks, policies and regulatory matters
Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Robust communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience in healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industries is preferred but not essential.
