Better MultiSensory Learning Centre is an established specialist learning and psychology practice located in Balwyn North.
For more than 10 years, we have supported children, teenagers, young adults and their families through evidence-based educational intervention, psychological assessment and counselling services.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking passionate and motivated educators to join our team from Term 4, **** or Term 1, ****.
We are particularly seeking educators with an interest in:
Primary Literacy and Numeracy
Secondary English and Maths.
VCE is well regarded.
Study skills and executive functioning support
VCE preparation and exam support
Applications from educators and tutors with experience in executive function management, study skills and other specialist educational areas are also welcomed.
Availability to work on Saturdays and/or weekday evenings or school holidays will be highly regarded.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected specialist practice where education and psychology work together to support students with diverse learning needs.
You will provide individual one-to-one educational support to children, teenagers and young adults.
Many of our students present with:
Dyslexia
ADHD
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Dyscalculia
Executive functioning challenges
Speech and language difficulties
Anxiety and other learning differences
Educators use this information to deliver targeted, evidence-based learning intervention tailored to each student's individual needs.
As part of our collaborative practice,



you will work alongside experienced educators while contributing to a coordinated approach that supports students academically, emotionally and socially.

University students with an interest in Tutoring
Previous experience supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, literacy intervention, multisensory teaching or learning intervention is highly regarded but not essential.

Position Requirements
Applicants should:
Hold, or be working towards, a relevant qualification
Hold a current Working With Children Check
Be available for at least one weekday afternoon or evening and/or Saturdays and/or school holidays
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
As this position is offered on an independent contractor basis, applicants will require an ABN (or be willing to obtain one).
