VISNA T MANAGEMENT PTY LTD is looking for a reliable and hands-on Nurseryperson to join our commercial nursery team in Yellingbo, regional Victoria.This is a full time position for someone who enjoys working with plants, takes pride in producing high-quality stock and is comfortable working in a practical outdoor environment.
The role involves propagating, growing, maintaining and preparing plants for sale and distribution.About the roleAs a Nurseryperson, you will be involved in the day-to-day care and production of trees, shrubs, ornamental plants and flowering plants.
You will work both independently and as part of a supportive nursery team.Your duties will include:Preparing potting mixes, growing media and containers before plantingSelecting and planting seeds, bulbs and cuttings in beds, tubs and containersPropagating plants through cuttings, budding and graftingWatering plants manually and operating automatic irrigation systemsMonitoring plant health and identifying pests, diseases, weeds and nutritional problemsApplying pesticides, herbicides, fertilisers and plant treatments safely and correctlyMaintaining accurate records of plantings, soil mixtures, treatments, losses and yieldsSelecting, preparing and packaging plants for sale,



delivery and distributionAdvising customers on plant care and suitable plants for local growing conditionsAssisting with the presentation and layout of nursery sales areas when requiredAbout youTo be considered for this position, you should have:A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Horticulture, Nursery Operations, Production Horticulture or a closely related fieldPractical knowledge of plant propagation, irrigation, potting and general nursery operationsA genuine interest in horticulture and plant careThe ability to follow detailed nursery and plant-treatment proceduresGood attention to detail when monitoring plant growth, quality, pests and diseasesThe physical fitness required for outdoor work, lifting and other hands-on nursery dutiesGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customersA reliable, responsible and safety-focused approach to workThe ability to work independently while also contributing positively to the wider teamPrevious commercial nursery or horticultural experience will be highly regarded.What we offerFull-time, ongoing employmentA salary of $75,000 to $92,000 per year plus superannuation, depending on skills and experienceA supportive and safe working environmentOn-the-job training and ongoing developmentLong-term career opportunities within an established agricultural businessA varied, practical role in a commercial nursery environmentThe position is based in Yellingbo, Victoria ****.
