The Role
As a Home Economics Assistant, you will assist the teacher in delivering planned education programmes and support the care and supervision of students.
You will help prepare and maintain the learning environment by ensuring equipment, materials, and resources are available for classes, displays, demonstrations, and activities, and are safely stored after use.
You will support safe and hygienic food‐preparation practices, maintain inventory records, monitor stock levels, submit requisitions for approval, and undertake regular cleaning and maintenance activities as directed.
Suitable applicants should have a proactive, positive approach, work effectively independently and as part of a team, and be organised, efficient, able to prioritise tasks, use initiative, and contribute to a safe, well‐maintained, and productive learning environment.

Eligibility
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

Demonstrated ability to assist with the general health and wellbeing of students.
