We produce oils, powders, topical products and our new Freeze FormedTM functional treats in-house.The Paw GrocerA fast-growing Australian freeze-dried pet food brand supplied through major grocery, mass retail and pet specialty channels.
Our products use Australian proteins sourced from primary producers and trusted manufacturing partners.Both brands are growing strongly.
We are investing in the systems, controls and team capability required to support that growth, including the implementation of Acumatica ERP.
The timing of this hire is deliberate.THE OPPORTUNITYThis is not a traditional bookkeeping role.
We are looking for a highly organised Finance Officer to own the day-to-day finance operations across both brands and keep a busy, high-volume finance function moving accurately and on time.Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will manage the core processing cycle from customer orders and invoicing through to supplier payments, payroll, bank reconciliations and online sales reconciliations.
Your work will allow the Finance Manager to focus on financial control, reporting,
forecasting and the Acumatica implementation.You will also be involved in the transition to Acumatica, helping establish reliable workflows and disciplined processes as the business scales.
This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in accuracy and can stay in control when transaction volumes and priorities are high.WHAT YOU'LL DOProcess & ReconcileProcess customer orders and invoicingManage accounts receivable and customer allocationsProcess accounts payableReconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepanciesManage the finance inbox and transaction documentationComplete Shopify and other online sales reconciliationsPayroll & PaymentsProcess accurate fortnightly payrollComplete bank and credit card reconciliationsPrepare supplier payment runs for approvalAllocate receipts and monitor overdue accountsSupport payroll, superannuation and statutory reporting requirementsSupport & ImproveSupport the Acumatica ERP implementation and transitionHelp test and document recent finance workflowsMaintain accurate customer, supplier and system master dataAssist with month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliationsPrepare information and schedules requested by the Finance ManagerWHO WE'RE LOOKING FORThis role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys finance operations and takes pride in running an organised, accurate and dependable finance function.
You may currently be working as a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Senior Accounts Administrator or experienced bookkeeper and be ready for broader ownership in a growing business.At least 3 years of experience in a broad finance-processing role.Strong hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.Confidence completing bank, credit card, supplier and online sales reconciliations.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail and a disciplined approach to checking your own work.Intermediate Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.Experience with an accounting or ERP platform; Acumatica experience is advantageous but not essential.WHAT WE OFFERBroad ownership from the startYou will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance cycle across two growing brands, rather than being limited to one narrow processing function.A meaningful role in our ERP transitionJoin while Acumatica is being implemented and help shape the workflows, data disciplines and controls that will support the next stage of growth.Direct access to decision makersYou will work closely with the Finance Manager and leadership team without unnecessary layers of management.Competitive salary and super$80,000 - $95,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and capability.A genuinely pet-friendly workplaceOur Hallam site regularly has animals in it.
